Klári arrived in Budapest in 1944 and at once integrated the underground activities. She made contact with the non-Jewish anti-fascist movement. Her underground name was Niederführer Anna Mária. She was the liaison between the “Glass House” and the members operating in the underground and also transferred forged Swiss Protection Documents. After the liberation she took part in various activities for the movement.
Klári made aliya in 1947 and took part in the defense of Kibbutz Ma’anit. As a member of the “Ehad BeMay” garin she was among the founders of Kibbutz Yassur. She married Baruh Karni and moved to Kibbutz Hama’apil.
